hard to tell

as always during a time of economic trouble there's a lot more work for non-technical people, especially "interim managers", "human resource consultants", "business analysts", and the like than there is for technical people, as companies are trying to squeeze every last bit of life out of existing systems without having to invest in new development, and working to reorganise themselves into "flexible workforces" by "refocussing our core business" towards "a service oriented organisation". What all that means is that technical people are finding it hard to get hired, but those who also have business skills or can at least talk the talk of the business people are having a fieldday.
