“Artifact assembly & publishing” is new to Gradle in Action + 45% off
In the context of continuous delivery, publishing your artifact plays a crucial role. Once you've packaged the delivery with a specific version, it’s ready to be deployed to various target environments for acceptance testing or to go to the end user. It’s a good practice to build the artifact only once, deploy it to a binary repository and reuse it whenever needed. Chapter 14 describes how to apply this concept to the To Do application we've created over the course of the book. Appendix B describes Groovy as it applies to Gradle.
