Java.net will be at JavaOne 2012 - will you? We'd love to see you there!
A week from right now I'll be wrapping up my first shift at the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) Lounge at JavaOne. In a major return to our roots, we'll be right in the middle of the demogrounds in the expo hall this year. Java.net team members Kevin Farnham (site editor), Tonya Moore (assistant Community Manager), and Frank Nikola (CMS engineer/webmaster/everything else) will be here all week as well.
As usual, our JavaOne events actually start on Saturday with the Java.net Community Leaders meeting. I am really excited about this year, it will be our biggest meeting yet with a lot of new faces who have been getting involved with this community for the past year.
Sunday I'll be hanging out at the JUG event and then heading up to the Masonic for the keynote presentations. Frank, Tonya, and I will all be working the swag desk at demogrounds and then hanging out in the lounge area through the week. Kevin will be out and about, attending sessions and writing them up for you here at the site, and also working on coverage for Java Magazine.
As we have in the last few years we'll also be switching our format on the front page of Java.net for the conference, adding more blogs and twitter. Speaking of twitter, you can catch Kevin and I at @javanetbuzz for the latest in community news and updates on the site itself.
If you're coming to JavaOne please stop by the booth and say hello!
