I downloaded and installed the GlassFish and SDK bundle containing the Sun Java System Application Server (GlassFish) and SDKs (GlassFish and SDK Update 5) that can be found here:
Then I downloaded the WTP 2.0.2 in my attempt to get the fixes to the 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 releases. I downloaded this bundle from here:
After downloading this I extracted everything into my current Eclipse directory: C:\Eclipse (Version 3.3.2; Build id: M20080221-1800).
Then I used the script found here to install the GlassFish server adapter into my Eclipse:
I cleared out the eclipse log file. I closed eclipse and rebooted my machine (Dell 2 Duo, 4G laptop running Vista Business).
I open Eclipse. I have an allready existing "TestWebProject" in my workspace. GlassFish is listed in the "Server" tab.
When I click to "run on server" the index.jsp within my testWebProject, GlassFish starts, runs and I get the HTTP Status 404 page instead of displaying my index.jxp page, with the description: "The requested resource() is not available". The "Status" of GlassFish in the "Server" tab says "republish". So I right-click on the fish and select publish. This is when Eclipse breaks and closes.
I have attached the .log file (see Eclipse_log.txt) and a jpeg image (see Eclipse_Break.JPG) showing that the server was in the "Publishing to GlassFish V2..." step when all heck broke loose. Notice that the error occurred when it was "Starting virtual machine..."
Does anybody have any clues about the solution to this problem? Do I possibly have a configuration thats out of whack? Perhaps I hosed things up by downloading and extracting the WTP 2.0.2 over my existing Eclipse install?
Thanks to all for your assistance.
