I just tried the jxta-shell of the new RC2 branch of jxta 2.5.
I encountered the following problem:
When I try to create a group by issuing the following commands:
JXTA> grp_TEST = newpgrp -n TEST
JXTA> join -d grp_TEST
I get this exception:
# join - 'grp_TEST' could not be instantiated.
net.jxta.exception.PeerGroupException: Could not find group implementation with urn:jxta:uuid-DEADBEEFDEAFBABAFEEDBABE000000010306
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
I used the same commands in the 2.4.1 branch and there everything works fine. Did the process of creating groups in the shell change with the 2.5 version? I could not find any information concerning this problem.
Does anybody else can reproduce this problem or - if not - knows what is going wrong?
Thanks a lot for helping me out.
PS: The entire jxta-shell project page (https://jxse-shell.dev.java.net/ ) still references old jxta.org documents. Thus the entire resources (like documentation / tutorials etc.) are not accessible at the moment. This makes it really hard for beginners to get going with JXTA. Would be great, if one of the project owners could fix it. I would also request content developement status and fix it, if someone provides the old documents to me. Thanks.
