I'm writing my first midlet and would like to test it on different devices.
I don't have any problem with Nokia/T-mobile , but cannot download to Sharp Gx15/Vodafone. I got a download terminated permission denied message
After many hours looking for resolution, I found out if I add/remove some attributes in jad file I will be able to download the application.
But after the successful download the phone tries to save the file in a folder and I get the same error message again (download terminated permission denied).
I wrote the application with NetBean Mobility and all mandatory field is in the jad.
My question is: Are the attributes device sensitive/dependent?
(of course beside the MIDP/CLDC versions).
Do I need to have a set of jads to serve different models?
Is the 'write once run anywhere' theory works in Java Me in some way?
If somebody would like to see the actual jad files, here is the link:
The first link on the page is OK for Nokia, the second is that I'd like to use for my Shap Gx15.
Thank you for your help.
