This could be pilot error, but I'm not so sure.
I have declared a @NamedQuery of the form "SELECT f.name FROM Frobnicator f".
If I run it once, I get back, let's say, result set A, consisting of, say, three items, "x", "y" and "z".
I now go edit the database manually so that those names are in fact "c", "d", and "e".
I run the query again.
I still get back "x", "y" and "z".
Without really truly digging into the problem, if I redeploy the application, everything is fine again.
I need to permit changes to happen out-of-band of the application server to some of the objects it manages. How do I do this?
I feel fairly stupid, incidentally, asking this question, but don't see an obvious answer.
