Development is underway for an integration library that enables JavaServer Faces technology-based apps to be run and deployed as JSR 168-compliant portlets.
Sun engineer Deepak Gothe and I just published on Sun Developer Network the last segment of the open-source portal series: Open-Source Portal Initiative at Sun, Part 5: JavaServer Faces Technology-Based Portlet Bridge . The project's goal is to build a portlet integration library that enables JSF technology-based applications to be run and deployed as JSR 168-compliant portlets on your portal. In this latest segment, you learn about the Portlet Bridge's design and binary, the procedure for tweaking JSF apps to comply with JSR 168 (illustrated by a sample app), and the tag library.Do visit the JSF Portlet Bridge Project site . Participation and contributions are welcome.
