Trying to contact project administrator

Hello,

I have recently found a bug in a package in a project.

No one seems to be able to help on the forums.

I'v been going through the source code and my idea is to fix the bugs myself as all the packages are open source.

The problem I have is a lot of the information and objects I need to access are not public out side of the package. Worst case scenario is that I will stop using all of the original packages in favour of my own version of everything simply to eradicate a few bugs. Seems a hell of a lot of work in my mind...

maybe I could contact one of the administrators for the project so see what can be done? but there doesnt seem to be a link to send a message or contact them.

can anyone please offer some suggestions on how I can find a solution to my predicament.

Many Thanks

You can always contact administrators by emailing admins at projectname.java.net.

Hi,

You should join the project and then connect via the forums or mailing lists as described at http://java.net/projects/help/pages/GettingInvolvedInProjects.

If you want to get involved with a project, you can do a couple of things.

- You can click the Bookmark link on any project's home page and instantly get an Observer role in that project. This will add the project and its forum information to your MyPage.

- If you want to get more involved in the project, start connecting with other members of the project in that project's forums or mailing lists, and get to know how the project is being worked or managed. Once you get to know everyone, try asking one of the project administrators for a higher role in the project like Software Developer or Content Developer.

Thanks!
