Java 8 and SpecJVM2008: stuck in startup.compiler.sunflow

Has anyone ever tried to run a recent Java 8 build through SPECJVM2008?
I tried b68, b69 as 64bit under Vista, Windows 7 and Ubuntu. All get stuck in startup.compiler.sunflow.

JDK7 runs fine.

I am so confused about this post. Please explain in depth what you want to say about it?

This is still a problem in the 1.8 GA release:

java version "1.8.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0-b132)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.0-b70, mixed mode)

Dear Principle Product Manager,

Thanks for starting up your reply bot after exactly three months.
No, I will not report a bug since this takes time. I spent enough time on it running it on three different platforms.
Last time I tried using (and most of the times before that), it was painfully slow, to the point of giving me timeouts and refusing to respond at all. So reporting bugs doesn't seem to be all that encouraged.
If you are Product Manager enough to care about the product, report the bug yourself. It is still alive in 1.8.0-ea-b77.

Happy easter!

I'm having issues with SpecJVM 2008 and the 118 build of the OpenJDK

The "startup.compiler.sunflow" benchmark does not seem to complete at all.

The only thread I see is quite unhelpful :

Is this a JVM bug or a SpecJVM 2008 issue ?
