After enabling secure-admin, I can no longer bring up the admin console in a browser, either locally or remotely. The admin account has a password and the enable works without issue. When trying to log into the console on a remote host, the login page comes up where I enter the necessary credentials and then I receive a page saying "This page cannot be displayed" for a URL of http://ipaddress:4848/j_security_check. When I try it on the localhost host with the url http://localhost:4848 I immediately get the page with the message "This page cannot be displayed". The DAS is running and I have confirmed that the secure-admin.enabled=true. I also made sure that I restarted the DAS after enabling the secure-admin mode.

I am running Glassfish 3.1.2 (Build 23).

Is there something that I am missing?

Naturally, it worked for me when I just tried this.

What OS and browser (and versions) are you using?

What Java version?

Are there any errors reported in the glassfish/domains/domain1/logs/server.log file?

Do CLI commands work, such as

asadmin uptime

Running on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2
IE Version 6.0.3790.3959
Java SE 1.7.0_03
No errors reported in the server, log file.
All cli commands seem to work fine:
ie. any asadmin list with options, uptime, login, etc...

Have tried clearing the browser cache? I have noticed that ie automaticly jumped to the securitychwck without need.

Kind regards,

The out-side

Thank you for your post. I tried clearing all of the cache data and still have the same result on both the local host and on the remote host.
