Trying to set up a 2 node 2 instance cluster on Centos 6.3 and JDK 6u35 x86_64 using GF 3.1.2.2. I get no errors with any of the steps and can deploy web apps fine to the cluster, however ports 23700, 23820 and 23920 do not listen (all other 2xxxx ports fire up fine). Logs also has no errors on start up.

glassfish1:

ssh

sudo su -
/etc/init.d/iptables save
/etc/init.d/iptables stop
chkconfig iptables off
nano /etc/hosts
Add glassfish1 and glassfish2 hosts
adduser glassfish
passwd glassfish
chown -Rf glassfish:glassfish /opt/glassfish3
exit
exit

glassfish2:

ssh
cd /opt/glassfish3/bin

Do you have the remote EJB application deployed on the cluster ? ORB is
initialized when the application is deployed.

Example:

asadmin> deploy --target mascluster /myejb.jar
asadmin> list-applications mascluster
myejb

Then check for the ORB port listener on each instance.

Ah ha, that's probably it! I do have a test MDB based EAR to deploy. I'll try that and post the results, thanks!
