Packaging concerns - jdk-7u10 no rpm?

We just discovered that jdk-7u9 update does not resolve an issue we are experiencing with our tomcat6 application, where cpu spikes under load. There is a fix in jdk7u10_b12 and later; but I am stuck with update strategy. The jdk-7u9 installed with rpm on RHEL6, but I am only finding tar.gz installer for the update. Can someone point me to a tool that can easily replace all the symlinks that the rpm installer creates, so I can install the update from tar.gz?

Oracle JDK 7u10 has not been released yet, so accordingly there is no RPM package yet available for download.
