I am wanting to put a simple JXBusyLabel into a Swing JDialog that I can then make visible and not when i want to. So the containment is:

JDialog d (with borderLayout)
->JXPanel p (with borderLayout)
--->JXBusyLabel label

d.setSize(200,80);
d.setLocation(300,300);
d.setVisible(b);

I also perform:

p.setBusy(true);

but while the JDialog is appearing, neither the BusyLabel's text nor icon are showing up.

Are there known "gotchas" with this combination of components?

Is there a better way to make a simple modal popup that shows the SwingX busy spinner?

Thanks.

should work - please show a small runnable (bla bla :-) example demonstrating the problem

Beware: this forum behaves quite weird (this thread doesn't show up in the list f.i. and sometimes isn't accessible at all), so don't be disappointed if it takes a bit longer for anybody to react :-)
