Hi all,

I have 2 applications under the same EAR and I want them to share a unique authentication.

Both have the same setting on web.xml as you can see here:

/stcont/web

	<login-config>
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<realm-name>realm-stcont</realm-name>
<form-login-config>
<form-login-page>/login.jsp</form-login-page>
<form-error-page>/login.jsp?failed=true</form-error-page>
</form-login-config>
</login-config>

<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Securing application</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/secure/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>USER</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>

<security-role>
<role-name>ADMIN</role-name>
</security-role>
<security-role>
<role-name>MANAGER</role-name>
</security-role>
<security-role>
<role-name>USER</role-name>
</security-role>

/stcont

	<login-config>
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<realm-name>realm-stcont</realm-name>
<form-login-config>
<form-login-page>/login.jsp</form-login-page>
<form-error-page>/login.jsp?failed=true</form-error-page>
</form-login-config>
</login-config>

<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Securing application</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/secure/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>USER</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>

<security-role>
<role-name>ADMIN</role-name>
</security-role>
<security-role>
<role-name>MANAGER</role-name>
</security-role>
<security-role>
<role-name>USER</role-name>
</security-role>

But both applications are requesting authentication.

I'm out of idea about what else I can try, I think I tried everything that is possible, I'm only missing the correct one to solve this issue.

Please, any idea is welcome.

Thanks!
