Is any reason to not use class format '49' (java 5)?

Hi everyone

Is any reason to not use class format 49?
It's unable to use Jax-ws 2.2.7 binaries with Java 5, and it's sad.

Hi,
the reason is that JDK5 is EOL, and (the tool-side) JAX-WS/JAXB code
has been migrated from deprecated APT to standard javac annotation
processing which is not present in JDK5. APT has been deprecated for a
long time and removed from JDK8 which JAX-WS has to support,
