JXLayer licensing, changing library parts and usage...

I wanted to ask a few questions about using Your library in a commercial project, but first i would love to say thanks for a great library :)
So, here goes the questions...
1. I got a few problems using JXLayer due to project specific features and used libraries so i changed the JXLayer source a bit so it would work correctly...
To be exact, i got errors from MouseScrollableUI constructor when it tried to load icons from library:
crissCrossIcon = new ImageIcon(getClass().getResource("images/criss-cross.png"));
So i changed it to the way icons load in my application... Assuming that, i wanted to ask if it would be licence-correct to just redistribute the changed and compilled source with Your original notices and the BSD license?

2. And the 2nd thing, i am placing in application links for every library used and the licence at the same place.
So i wanted to ask if next BSD license (exact text with Your nick and year included) will be fine to use, and will You agree with such usage in our application?..
