Hi

A coworker is working on some college assignment, he just open up a JOptionPane with some text describing the options his program accepts, he show me his programs and we detect some weird behavior: if we don't click any of the JOptionPane's buttons this dialog just choose the Cancel buttons and closes itself, asking why i just try to reproduce this bad behavior in my pc, resulting in the same, then y just remember i'm currently running jdk b112 and then i decide to change the target jdk to jdk6, then i go to netbeans plattforms dialog and try to change the jdk, surprisingly i found the same bad behavior my coworker found in his college assigment.

Anyone knows why this happens? it's related to the jdk 7 we are using right now?

Thank you.

I don't remember the version of JDK 7 impacted but I have a very large app that ran fine under Java 7 except for a few issues with combo boxes. I tried the latest version of Java 7 several versions ago, possibly 112, and it would exit automatically at seemingly random times. Sometimes it did it almost immediately at startup. Other times it was right after I logged in or after I started using the app and had several windows open. Windows would close and the entire app would close. The issue went away with the next release and has not reappeared. No exceptions were thrown at app exit or window close time. It appeared to me to be a low level run-time issue with that particular version of the JRE.
