Hi,
Since the blackberry canvas for LWUIT implementation using the System package, does it need to be signed to run on a BB device? I dont have any references to the device classes in my app code, but it still asking for the permission to run the app on the device.
Thanks

No it didn't need BB signing, which permissions you were asked for, because if you reference a System package the application will not open at all.

I'm not referencing the system package,In the LWUIT blackberry canvas implementation. It uses the System bitmap and font package. Is that could be an issue?? My application starts up without any trouble. Only thing is, first startup it's asking whether it is a trusted app. There after when I try to communicate with my webservice, it's asking for allow communication, that also for the first time. After that it runs fine.
Thanks

Bitmap and Font classes didn't require BB signing. The permissions appear to you are normal security alert because you didn't sign your application. If you need to remove them you have to sign your application.

BTW: when an API require BB signing the application couldn't start at all and this is not your case, so this is not related to LWUIT. It is related to the JME security policies.
