Channel Map issues with RelC

Hi,

I am using RelC and the latest released Tru2Way workbench. I am getting the following issues:

1. My simple application is unable to select any services whether I use the default RI channel map (the one used with TuneTest) or the default channel map from the workbench.

I use the workaround for the duplicate FDC tables RI.Platform.UalRemoveDuplicateFdcTables = FALSE
However, my application is unable to select any services.

2. Once I run my application from workbench, I can not longer launch tunetest or watchTV application from the RI stack directly.

This makes it impossible to use both environments. I would like to use workbench. But the fact my application cannot tune, makes it impossible to use.

Are you trying to use the same RI installation to run both the SDK and standalone (i.e. runRI.sh)? If so, you may run into lots of problems like this. The SDK makes changes to many platform and stack configuration files in response to operations performed using the Eclipse plugin UI.

Yes. Essentially, what I did was install the RI bundle and then install the Eclipse plug-in.

If only use the RunRI.bat script to launch the RI stack and Emulator then I have no problems.

If, then I try to launch the Emulator from Eclipse, my standalone RI becomes unusable.

Also another issue I had was that I cannot properly tune when I launch RI Emulator from Eclipse:

This is what I did:

- Install RI bundle
- Install Plugin
- Create a new Project (Simple WatchTV)
- Launch the created WatchTV from Eclipse
- Failure to acquire channel map - all service selections fail.

No matter how I change the channel map or any other configuration files, it failed to
tune.

One way of fixing this would be for the Eclipse Plugin to use the "SAME" channel map config as the standalone RI. Since tuning via standalone RI is working.

There is no application template provided by the SDK for WatchTV (that I am aware of). I only see 2 templates in the Eclipse OCAP Project Wizard -- Simple Xlet and Hello World. How did you create your "Simple WatchTV" project?

I didn't use any templates. I created an empty project and provided my own implementation.
