Anyone know status of JXSummaryTable

A while back (before Swingx 1.0), Rob Stone wrote a nifty little JXTable subclass, JXSummaryTable, which allowed one to exclude the last row of a JXTable when it came to sorting.

This worked great for us - until Swingx 1.6. With the new JDK-based sorting of JXTables, the version of JXSummaryTable we have work anymore. Does anyone know where I could find a version of JXSummaryTable that works with Swingx 1.6+?

Thanks,
Tom

The 1.6 JXTable uses the core sorting mechanism.

You can take a look at this thread. In the end I posted a RowSorter which allows you to fix start/end rows. Not tested it with a JXTable though.

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the references.

I couldn't yet figure out how to integrate your sorter with JXTable since JXTable relies on a TableSortController rather than a TableRowSorter. I thought about having your sorter extend TableSortController to let JXTable take advantage of whatever it needs, but your BetterTableRowSorterModelWrapper.getStringValueAt() method relies on the TableRowSorter.getStringConverter() method - which TableSortController doesn't implement :-(
