Migration to JXTA 2.6

Hi,

I recently downloaded JXSE 2.6 from Kenai and didn't manage to run the tutorials for some reason.

First of all I couldn't build the tutorials with the jxse-2.6.jar(which is about 130 KB) so I built the jxse jar out of the source files and then the code compiled.

When I run the examples I get:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not initialize ID defaults
at net.jxta.id.IDFactory.(IDFactory.java:636)
at net.jxta.id.IDFactory.(IDFactory.java:127)
at tutorial.content.ContentServer.main(ContentServer.java:278)
Caused by: java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name net.jxta.impl.config, locale en_US
at java.util.ResourceBundle.throwMissingResourceException(Unknown Source)
at java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundleImpl(Unknown Source)
at java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundle(Unknown Source)
at net.jxta.id.IDFactory.(IDFactory.java:629)
... 2 more

Can someone explain how to run JXSE 2.6?

Thanks!

It seems like the problem disappeared after I downloaded a new version of jxse-2.6.jar from Kenai (which was 2 MB instead of 130 Kb).

Still, I would be glad if someone could explain me what happened with the error posted above.

Thanks!

It probably is not exactly your problem, but I think this thread may give a clue to what might have gone wrong with your code earlier http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=471052 ...my bet it's been a faulty download. I've had this happen to me with firefox once or twice when the internet connection fails.
