Tracking of silent fails

Hi,

I've been able to build everything, generate certs and perms and have network access on the xlet. I've built logger with no errors but if I use it in the xlet (which has it in its class path and builds fine) that the xlet just falls silent and dies. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a solution. It also seems to happen when I use other static classes which I have written myself. They all reside in a catch block but it's hard to see if it just fails silent or actually throws an exception. TMT doesn't seem to have a log file that I can find, have searched but nothing seems to show up. I've attempted to isolate everything and it just seems to drop when I make a call to Logger. I've generated this jar on 2 separate machines and it still seems to just drop silently.

What are solutions to this?

I seem to have gotten the logger working properly now.

What problems could arise from using an external toolkit on the platform? I'm using one which just dies without any exception thrown, is there a way to see a better log using TMT/Netbeans? Something would be better than just guessing. The classes are inside the 00000.jar, visible when I unzip the jar file, but when attempting to see if it exists using Class.forName("classpackage.class"); an exception is not even thrown, TMT just stops there.

I just started catching (Throwable) and it seems this is being thrown around.

java.lang.ExceptionInInitializeError is what I get from reading the throwable.toString.
