Hi all!

I'm trying to progressive playback with 3d video.
(I could progressive playback with 2d video.)

It's very hard to figure out how to do that.

The spec said that ssif(stereoscopic interleved files) file shall not be listed in the BUMF.
(Part3 5.7.1.3)

Also It said if the value of application_type in ClipInfo is 7 means "Sub TS for a sub-path of MPEG-4 MVC Dependent view video stream path. This Sub TS containing MPEG-4 MVC Dependent view video and/or an associated Main TS are provided from the Binding Unit Data Area".

It sounds possible to progressive playback with 2 m2ts files (left and right view video files).

Anyone have been succeeded?

Thank you for your advance,
Namsuk

You need MVC real time decoder which uses both ssif and m2ts file types.
Such codec is license by TDVision and WinDVD uses it to play DB3D content.
Do you have the Part3 5.7.1.3 BD format specifications?

Mathew Orman

Gunnar Adler

The spec also notes explicitly that playback of Stereoscopic
Interleved files from the Binding Unit Data Area is not supported so I
doubt any player will allow this.

Thank you!

As you said the ssif file is not supported from BUDA.

So i am trying to playback with 2 m2ts files which are left view and right view.
(Base view video and Dependent view video)

Hi Namsuk,

I'd be interested in hearing how your test with 2 m2ts files go.

Cheers,
