Hi Abhitjit,

I responded to another email you posted on an old thread, so you may
miss that response...re-posting here.

If you want to port CDC to the mini 2440 arm, I suggest this:

- Go to http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/PhoneMEAdvanced
You will find information on how to get CDC and how to build for
various platforms. You should look at the linux-arm and win32-arm
platforms.
- Read https://phoneme.dev.java.net/files/documents/5835/123364/porting.pdf
This guide will give you information on how to port to your platform.

Dear Darryl Mocek,
Thank you very much for the quick response.
the mini 2440 has open embedded linux on it . will this be feasible to use for porting phoneme?

Porting CDC or the Foundation profile to ARM/linux should not be that difficult. I actually expect
that these profiles will build out of the box if you have the correct GCC toolchain for ARM. I
have cross-compiled CLDC and CDC based virtual machines with these compilers on Linux:

Porting the AWT native peers might be a little bit more difficult, as I don't know which GUI toolkit
and version openembedded uses (Qt or GTK). Obviously, if your device does not have a screen,
you can ignore this part.

Darryl already provided the documentation you need in one of the posts above. That should
get you up and running.
