[JAI-IMAGEIO] Decoding issues with native JIIO J2K ImageReader
I've encountered some quality issues with the decoding of some 12-bit
Grayscale, JPEG-2000, lossy-compressed images, decoded through the native
Image I/O J2K Image Reader. Some decoded images appeared on screen with a
kind of "checkboard" effect on them.
On the other side, the same images decoded through the pure-Java Image I/O
J2K Image Reader looked fine.
You can take a look at the different results (native J2K Image Reader vs.
pure-Java J2K Image Reader) by downloading the following ZIP archive:
To your knowledge, is this faulty behavior of the JIIO J2K native reader a
known issue? Can you suggest some workaround, in addition to just "using the
pure-Java Image Reader" (which is a bit slower)?
Thanks for your time and best regards,
