[JDIC mpcontrol] running problems with winamp and rhythmbox

Hi,
JDIC mpcontrol is still usefull or it is out of date? Because i tried run this library's sample startplayers.cmd under windows 7 64bit and I get
... Winamp 2 and 5 control' not supported on this platform ...
and I try under ubuntu 32bit and I get:

I don't know: mpcontrol is useless for current players and OS or I use it bad?

Do you know any alternatives, which control music players under java?
