Can FirstPlaybackObject be BDJO? Any spec against it being a BDJO? Thanks in advance.

Yep, it can be a BD-J title.

Thanks Joe. I ran into a problem with sony players if VFS was enabled and the user clears player's memory externally (not through player's menus), the player hangs (it seems it looks for the missing jar file to call). I plan to use the first run to reset VFS if no jar is available.
