Hi ,

I'm a beginner to the T.V applications.I heard that to choose Tru2Way which is a brand name for OCAP platform.I'm not clear whether the applications are developed in Java ME CDC or MHP.I'm not getting the difference between the J2ME CDC and MHP.What is the special advantage in each of them?If i have to develop an application on OCAP(tru2Way) what are the steps to follow.

Please reply ASAP.

Thanks & Regards,

I can offer 2 references that might address your questions:

1) "Interactive TV Standards: A Guide to MHP, OCAP, and JavaTV" by Steven Morris and Anthony Smith-Chaigneau, Focal Press, 2005.

2) "The OpenCable Application Platform" by Allen Gordon and David Hooley, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, Vol 25, Num 1, January 2008.

Hope this helps.

hi,

I got the difference between MHP and J2ME CDC.MHP, OCAP internally uses J2ME to achieve some of the core functionality. While J2ME is independent of its own.OCAP uses Some of the reqiured API of MHP.

For more details on OCAP,MHP ,Java Tv etc look into my blog.Im updating what ever im going to know about this apps.
