Java 5 translate an empty XSL tag to HTML as follows:

But Java 6 translate an empty XSL tag to HTML as follows

Self closing tags is a problem for IE ( not Firefox).

How can I solve this problem?
Do I have a new XSL parser or should I change the java code?

This code works with Java 5 but not with java 6.

private Templates templates;

public void render(HttpServletResponse theResponse) {

theResponse.setContentType(type);
PrintWriter writer = theResponse.getWriter();
Transformer transformer = templates.newTransformer();

StreamResult result = new StreamResult();
result.setWriter(writer);
transformer.transform(new JDOMSource(document), result);

}

Please use the [ code ] and [ /code ] tags (w/o spaces, lower case) to wrap your code snippets.
