I did an update form netbeans 6.7 to 6.8 this includes an update of glassfish from version V2 to V3.

I deployed a JSF 1.2 project which was created with nb 6.7 to the new Glassfish V3.

The application creates normaly an outputtext like:

bla: "ui".

but the output text is now

bla &quotui&quot

The source code within the mbean looks like:

String a = "bla\"ui\".".

My question is why is the escape sequence of \" not working anymore?
Other escape sequences like \' \n \t are already working fine.

I got the solution...

within my application I used some output tags "".

JSF 1.2 will generate clean not modified text within the web page.
JSF 2.0 will modify the text web conform.

The solution is to add an attribute to the output tag like the following:

some text with \""bla"\"

The "escape attribute" ensures that the outputtext will not be modified.
