My LG won't run my MIDP bluetooth app (not even WTK's Bluetoothdemo app !)

Hello everybody

I have created an application which communicates via BT with a BT GPS receiver. Although my app works fine on e.g a Nokia or Sony, when it comes to my LG GD510 (with microedition.platform=LG-GD510/V100 Teleca/WAP2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) it does not work.

The relative code in my app is the following:

public class BtGpsFinder implements DiscoveryListener
{
DiscoveryAgent m_DiscoveryAgent;

public boolean startInquiry()
{
try
{
m_DiscoveryAgent = LocalDevice.getLocalDevice().getDiscoveryAgent();
m_DiscoveryAgent.startInquiry(DiscoveryAgent.GIAC,this);
return true;
}
catch (BluetoothStateException ex)
{
MyLogger.exception(this,"Exception" + ":"+ex.toString());
return false;
}
}
}

When m_DiscoveryAgent.startInquiry() is called, then an exception is thrown (javax.bluetooth.BluetoothStateException: cannot inquiry)

After failing to make it work, I tried to run WTK's bluetoothdemo on my phone. It throws the following messages:

- when I select Server: "can't initialize bluetooth"
- when I select Client: "can't start device search"

As you might know, the LG Develloper forum is apparently dead, so I am a bit hopeless here.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

George

P.S. When I use BT for file transfer (both ways) it works fine.
