Hi, I am facing problem with the binding on Samsung 3600 player. I am downloading the new JAR and BDJO file from the server in the BUDA area and doing the binding, after binding I am jumping to binded title. I am able to launch the binded title on all player except the Samsung 3600. After Jumping its showing the blank screen. It seems to be JAR is not getting binded properly on Samsung 3600. When I check the logs for the requestUpdate() method its returning TRUE. This is only happening with Samsung 3600. On other players like Panasonic, PS3, Sony, Pioneer its working fine. I am using the BD-RE disc for the testing, I tried with the the BD-R disc also but same problem. Looking for any help or suggestion on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Several Samsung models have a security model which doesn't support VFS updates (and even BD-Live connections) when the disc-based portion of the VFS is on recordable media. That's probably what's going on there.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for responding...
I am able to download contents that mean its supporting the BD-Live connections. I tried with BD-R and BD-RE disks only problem with the title jump on downloaded and binded title.

Which kind of recordable media I should use for the testing on Samsung, please suggest.

If it's the issue I'm thinking of, media type won't make a difference - valid AACS files are required, so you would need to test from a replicated BD-ROM version of your content. Painful but true.

Hi,
I tested with the replicated BD-ROM disc on samsung and it works...
Thanks Joe for helping on this...
So, In summary on samasung to test BD-Live applications we should have at least replicated disc.
