The plan for the community test on Thursday at 10am PT / 1pm ET is starting to take shape. For this test, we are going to attempt to run a "real" event. I have invited a number of community members to give short talks on their Wonderland-related work: First up, we'll have Kathyrn Aten and Taryn Stanko from the University of Oregon talking about the studies they are doing observing Wonderland usage and development. Next, Morris Ford will describe his scripting component and give audience members a chance to ask questions. Finally, Ryan Babiuch - aka "Jagwire" - will tell us about his new particle module and attempt a live demonstration.

As in the past, we will post the URL for the test on the morning of the event. We ask that everyone participating also join the Wonderland IRC chat channel:

irc://irc.freenode.net/wonderland

This way there will be a back-channel for communication if anything goes wrong during the test.

To participate, please be sure to use headphones - open speakers will introduce echo into the world.

I look forward to talking to many of you on Thursday.

Nicole

Will the movie and/or audio recorder be going for this? Unfortunately it'll be 4:30am on Friday over here so I don't think I'll be making it........

Ah, excellent idea. I'm not sure I have enough disk space to record the entire hour session, but recording each of the three presentations should be doable. I'll install the movie recorder module. Someone please remind me to start recording.

Nicole.
