Hi! I have same questions about midlet memory.

1. How much memory can provide a mobile phone for midlet? In specification - 128 KB.
2. How much memory can provide a mobile phone for midlet persistent storage?
3. Can I create new file from midlet and write to this file?
4. After turning off phone or getting battery from phone can the midlet persistent storage lose persisted data? Tell me about the security of midlet persistent storage.

Thanks.

Here are my answers:

1. Most modern mobile phones does not have any limitations. You could use as much memory that is available on the phone. But the MIDlet should be kept as small as possible.
2. See 1
3. Yes, use the JSR-75 API
4. If you use the RMS API, the data shall survive a power loss. All MIDlets have access to RMS. If you store in a file it is also kept during power loss.
