Are you talking about NetBeans projects?

I usually put both parts, the J2ME and the JavaFX files, in the same (JavaFX) project. Would that work for you?

Can I make it work the other way around?
So J2ME files and JavaFX files in a J2ME project?

I tried this approach but I get errors like

-cannot access javafx.lang.Builtins, class file for javafx.lang.Builtins, File seems
to be in a non-JavaFX project

-cannot access com.sun.javafx.runtime.FXBase, class file for
com.sun.javafx.runtime.FXBase not found

I tried adding JavaFX library to the J2ME project but still to no avail.
