Hi All,

I am intermittently getting an error under windows xp about jdic trying to do something with mozembed.exe but I specified IE as my default. Has anyone ran into this issue? JDIC will still work but I hate to have anyone see that error message.

Regards,
-Tony

We saw that previously when the user's default browser within windows was not set to IE, the browser window would not start up in that case. Does your browser window start okay or do you just always get the error and your application works okay anyway?

Hi James,

I get it intermittantly and the browser still works fine because I set it via the jdic api to use IE.
It only happens on startup of my app sometimes and I suspect it has soemthing to do with timing of when I set the active engine to IE and when I create the first WebBrowser instance.

-Tony

Hi Tony, not sure I can be of help here, we were seeing the message come up only when the user's default browser was not IE, and then the browser component would not start (because we only supply the IE native libraries in our webstart configuration)
