Hi,

I am new to Mobicents, and I do not manage to make my app work.
Sounds like the approuter does not find, or call my application.

Is it a tutorial somewhere, to create a simple SIP servlet with Mobicents (over Tomcat) and Eclipse ?

Thanks for your help
Ben

Did you change the DAR configuration file provided by default so that your app can get called on INVITE ?

No tutorial yet, would you be interested to contribute one since you're currently doing the exercise ?
Here is our complete user guide :

I invite you to use the Mobicents Google Group to get more help from the community mobicents-public@googlegroups.com

Thanks in advance
Best regards

Yes, I did change the DAR config file.
I am actually interested in contributing to the documentation.

Is it somewhere a very simple source code, which is known to work with Tomcat/Eclipse ?
Has the application do be declared elsewhere ? It the sip.xml enough ?

I will recheck the documentation anyway.

Thanks

If you can post the sip-server.log in DEBUG mode (or any logs present there) located in TOMCAT_HOME/logs that would be helpful to help you correct the problem. Also be careful to the typo and make sure the app name in the DAR file is the same than in your sip.xml tag.
Alternatively You can use the sip-servlets-management console to avoid any typos.

Make sure the application is actually correctly deployed.

http://www.mobicents.org/examples.html has a list of examples working on Tomcat.

Hi

I finally figured out how to make it work.

I am currently working on a tutorial "Developping a simple Sip application with Mobicents and Eclipse". I will publish it shortly.

What is the best way to do this ?

Excellent. What was the problem ? For the benefit of the others in the community that may experience the same problem or so that we fix what is not clear enough in the doco (if you want to make suggestions feel free to do so)

The best to do this is create a blog and publish it on your blog and we link to it from mobicents.org, from our blogs, we tweet about it etc so that it can attract traffic to your blog or we can start a docbook similar to the Mobicents user guides but generally for tutorial it might not be the best format especially if you want to show some videos, etc...

Hey Ben,

You should post the link to the Mobicents Google Group, those forums are barely alive, you'll have more feedback over there.

Thanks for the post and left a comment on it
+ posted it on DZone
