ProgressivePlaylist SD content not playing

Hi all,

I've been experimenting with progressive playlists and have had good success with my HD content (with the xlet UI as 1920x1080 as well). However, when I try to play an SD playlist stream, I get a black screen for video but I can hear audio (so I know its "playing" the downloaded stream segments). I tried resizing the player with AWTVideoSizeControl (to 720, 480) but that didn't help. The actual size of the video is 640x352, so I tried using that as the src and 720x480 as dst, no luck.

I'm using the same encoder params for the SD content as I did with the HD content.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

As far as I know 640x352 is not a Blu-ray supported video format. If you check out the spec it will enumerate the supported dimensions, aspect ratios, and bit rates.

That's right - the only legal SD frame sizes are 720 x 480 (all players) and 720 x 576 (players in PAL regions only). For primary video, the frame rate is 29.97 interlaced for 720 x 480 and 25i for 720 x 576. (24p is allowed for SD secondary video only)
