Hi, I am quite new to JXTA. I would like to ask a simple question. Can JXTA be used in oracle Jdeveloper? Is it is possible, did i need to install anything and include in the library or it is pre install in the Jdeveloper?

Thank for the help!!

Hi to all, I really need help about the JXTA. I have succeed include the JXTA in the library of my project. I try to test on the discovery server and client in the tutorial and when i compile, i receive this error.

For the server:
Error(59,27): cannot access class net.jxta.discovery.DiscoveryEvent; class file has wrong version 49.0, should be 45.3 or 46.0 or 47.0 or 48.0
Error(80,41): class DiscoveryListener not found in class tutorial.discovery.DiscoveryServer

For the client:
Error(58,27): class net.jxta.discovery.DiscoveryEvent is not public in package net.jxta.discovery; cannot be accessed from outside package
Error(72,41): class DiscoveryListener not found in class tutorial.discovery.DiscoveryClient

Where did i go wrong? Is it the JXTA 2.5 can not work with my java version (1.6) or is the way i included go wrong. I am seriously need help about this.!!!

Hi,

It sounds as if you're almost on the right track in solving your problem. I used to have similar problems years ago when you still needed to add the JRE/JDK bin directories to the windows class-path. It might be that your classpath is pointing to an older JRE/JDK before JAVA 1.6 is tried.

I suggest you tak a look at that.
