Hi everyone,

Other than JFileChooser, are there any nice looking open dialog classes available? Because, JFileChooser does the job, but graphically speaking, it looks a little bit awkward (in my humble opinion).

I was wondering if it is possible to actually use the open file dialog that netbeans uses for opening files?... If not, what are there any other possibilities?

Cheers!

Julio

Ok, problem solved, I found this snippet of code somewhere on the net and it works. Just put it before your open dialog code lines...

// Get the native look and feel class name
String nativeLF = UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName();

// Install the look and feel
try {
UIManager.setLookAndFeel(nativeLF);
} catch (InstantiationException e) {
} catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
} catch (UnsupportedLookAndFeelException e) {
} catch (IllegalAccessException e) {
}
