Hi All,
I started using PhoneME on my Windows Mobile device(HTC touch viva). But I am facing a problem. Call to LocalDevice.getLocalDevice() is hanging and does not return. The bluetooth device is ON.

Any help will be really helpful.

Thanks in advance

Which phoneME version for Windows Mobile are you using (phoneME Feature or phoneME
Advanced with MIDP support)? Did you compile the VM yourself?

I know the BlueCove bluetooth stack works in combination with phoneME Advanced (at least on
some devices), but I have been unsuccessful with integrating BlueCove into phoneME Feature.
It is hard to tell what is going on on your device without being able to reproduce the problem.
Perhaps BlueCove does not recognize your bluetooth stack properly.

I haven't used any bluecove stack with PhoneME already. Does that mean I need to use some third party libraryes to make bluetooth work on PhoneME ?

I am using PhoneME feature latest build. If I am not wrong it is MR2.

The phoneME Advanced dual stack with MIDP already uses BlueCove 2.0.2 for its
bluetooth implementation. Unfortunately, this library does not work with phoneME
Feature.

The other phoneME Advanced builds don't include the BlueCove stack so if you don't
want to develop midlets (i.e. just, but regular applications), then you need to
download the library yourself and append it to the boot classpath.
