This is related to XAIT entries being signaled when network not available.
In a typical network, XAITs are most likely to be received before IP connection is established.

How does the OCAP-RI stack handle XAITs that requires IP (i.e. any URL look-ups) if the IP is not yet assigned.

I don't know if the OCAP standard has specified the behavior of if this should be handled by the carrier. Maybe the OCAP monitor app needs to wait for IP connection, before signaling MonitorConfigured, an dthen allow all XAIT processing.

Does this need to be handled my the MPEOS socket? (i.e fail all socket calls until IP address is acquired?)

Thanks for any help.

For questions about the OCAP specification, please refer to the specification at http://cablelabs.com/specifications/ocOCAP.html. In particular refer to section 20 and the javadoc for org.ocap.OcapSystem.

Thanks. I have the spec. Could you still clarify what is currently implemented in the OCAP-RI stack and answer the following question.

How does the OCAP-RI stack handle XAITs that requires IP (i.e. any URL look-ups) if the IP is not yet assigned.

Thanks,
