Hi,

I have a qury regarding the commercial license of Mobicent, as mentioned in mobicent.org,Users would consider purchasing a commercial license if they intend to redistribute Mobicents along with proprietary code.

I have a query here as , "Does redistribute Mobicents along with proprietary code" mean extending/customizing Mobicents functionality with proprietary code?" . If the answer is yes to this question, then my next query is "Does adding a completely new RA (say Webservices RA) also mean extending/customizing mobicents functionality?"

Thanks,
M.C.Sahoo

In one of the mobicent FAQ I read the following statement.

Other Resource Adaptors are available under commercial licenses by third party vendors.

i.e Apart from the default RAs that comes with the open source if we want some new RAs then we can get the same from a license version of mobicent from some third party.Hence I think adding a completely new RA also means extending/customizing mobicents functionality.

This means that, besides the ones we provide, other RAs could be provided by 3rd parties, and have their own licensing model. Which means, if you build an RA that could be interesting for other users, you could become a 3rd party providing (contributing) such RA through Mobicents, with your own license.

No, developing applications or resource adaptors is not considered extending Mobicents.
