if anyone find any peer (only one) aound him with myjxta give me sign
i would be glad to know what this stuff is all about
myjxta seems have to be abandoned since the begining and no one seems to really care
all your guys around speak about jxta technology without actually have tried myjxta?
myjxta doesn't work at all.
it is a fake from sun.
like usual sun doesn't care if there is no business behind the scenes...

thank you origama
but i want to know if there is a big server working behind the scene for the all jxta peers to get connected together.
this is my first and important question.

SUN usually has a server up an running where 'seeds' --that is, a number of IP-addresses where peergroups can make 'global' connections with each other. If you set the network manager to use these seeds (setUseDefaultSeeds( true )) then you should be able to connect via these seeds.
It is however, as I believe, mainly intended for development purposes, so at some point, you may have to create your own seeds on a server for your application.

JXTA is not abandoned at all.
Currently there is a lot of work behind the scenes. I invite you to follow the mailing lists to keep updated about great works done by the community.

It is happening that the public infrastructure is down since a few months ago. I think myjxta has stopped to work for this reason.

If you want to configure jxta to work you have to implement your own infrastructure, with your own rendezvous (and you can be sure it isn't a hard work to do).

I suggest you to read the programmer's guide before start to flame in forum about sun or something else.

We are here to reply to your help request.

Good work.

Hi keviner.
No, there isn't a singles big server to sustain the burdens of the whole network. Your question makes me guess that you haven't read the programmer guide. You have to deploy at least a rendezvous if you want to get your network up and runnìng. Unless you are running your peers on a lan which serves a multicast service.

Hope this helps.

Giuseppe.
