webstart for 1.5 and 1.6 using different classpath??

Hi,

We noticed that it appears that webstart 1.5 and 1.6 are using different jar order for classpaths. We have jars that have to be specified in a certain order and for 1.5 that order seems to work based on jar order specified in the jnlp but the same same jnlp used under web start 1.6 seems to act differently as if the jar order listed in the jnlp is not being loaded in the same order.

Question is there a difference to classpath setup for a jnlp between 1.5 and 1.6 web start?? If so how can I specify the classpath in the jnlp so it will be followed the way (order) I need?

Thanks,
-Tony

Some more info. The only combination of webstart and jre that works as expected is 1.5.x WS and 1.5.x JRE. 1.6.x WS and 1.5.x JRE fail and 1.6.x WS and 1.6.x JRE fail.

So how do I find the classpath setting for the WS launched application to compare 1.5.x WS to 1.6.x WS? The s command for the Java Console does not list the classpath info.

Thanks,
-Tony

By the way this problem exists with a major Oracle product where they use customized jars to overide core ones. Works great with Web Start 1.5 but not 1.6.

Hi Tony,
It's the problem I faced in our production, did you have solutions for this issue?

None that I know of. Just do not rely on the classpath or order in which the jars are included in the jnlp.
