Recently I have read some articles which introduce the advantages of JXTA and how to use it. Since there are so many advantages, why jxta cannot be widely used through so many years?
It's said that the routing algorithm is inefficient,is it true?
I'm not sure I've understood. JXTA already provide mechanisms for the comunication between peers (pipes) which already rely on XML messages. If you want to implement other mechanisms to communicate with other entities, i think that you have to choose between a JAVA-only technology (RMI) or a widely used technology (webservice).
There is an implementation of soap upon jxta, you could take a look https://soap.dev.java.net/ .
I don't know if i've answered to your question, feel free to ask again.
I'm sorry, i've wrongly posted here this aswer. it was for http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=62141&tstart=0
Thanks for your answer.
But I want to know some disadvantages of JXTA, such as performance. If I use JXTA to develop my p2p application, can the application have a good performance.
