Is there any way to make empty string be a null value not a "" when we submit a form?

Use the javax.faces.INTERPRET_EMPTY_STRING_SUBMITTED_VALUES_AS_NULL
context init parameter with a value of true.

Thks for the fast reply Ryan (very fast one). And just to ask, do you know what JSF2 books are coming with the release of the JSF2? For now i just know the Beginning JSF™ 2 APIs and JBoss® Seam from Apress.

And that makes me wonder: will JSF2 and Seam 2 be compatible with each other?
