Hi there,

I have a Problem while Connecting via https to a Webservice.
Sometimes our customer faces a java native error-7372 in an IOException when he tries to reach the service. In our testsetup, we are using no https just http. We can not reproduce this error.

Has anyone ever made such experiences?

I could not find anything about this native error-7372 by google or in these boards.

Thanks for your help.

It sounds like a certificate error.

Not sure if you found these links:

You might want to check that the CA on the server is supported on the
device. Usually Versign is the only CA that is across most devices.
Also you need to make sure that your webserver is serving the expected
certificate, and not a different one that your appserver. I've seen in the
past where Apache will unpackage a SSL request and response and repack
it using it's own cert, doing a type of "man-in-the-middle" attack.

From the posts about this error on the net it is not exclusive to one device.
I am seeing it on Nokia and SonyEricsson, which may point to a Symbian thing.
(since the error says Native, leads me to think it's something outside of java) :)
