unexpected closing sockets

Hi,
i am using JxtaSocket for transfering Data between two peers on Internet but the sender peer fail to send all files's blocs because the system close the socket and it shows me this message:

GRAVE: null
java.io.IOException: Connection is closed

We're using jxta to send large files over a very reliable connection... and I'm starting to get this error also... have you had any success debugging this? Are you running out of heap space... or?
